My first exposure to a Dog Show was as a 9 year old kid when my tuition teacher Mrs. Francis took me to this All Breed Show in Bombay. At the entrance I saw a huge Great Dane with their owners, there and then I feel in love with The Great Dane. There on I took every opportunity to visit a dog show and collect dog books and specially books on Great Danes. I remember purchasing my first Great Dane book from a bookstore in New Delhi during my school winter break for which I was on a holiday. I was beginning to learn about Great Danes. In early 1987 our family shifted to Northern India and we made base in Noida (UP) an upcoming neibouring town to Delhi and I must admit it changed my life forever.

My first Great Dane, a fawn bitch was bought from the Singh Kennels (Meerut) in 1988 as a teenager. The journey from Meerut to my city (Noida) is memorable as I carried this puppy in my arms on a two-wheeler scooter and for the way I bargained before I finally purchased her. She was named "BONY". All my time and effort was now spend on rearing Bony. My first show was the North of India Kennel clubs All Breed show where I was fortunate to show Bony under Mr. Rangarajan who was the Chairman of the Kennel Club of India then and the most reputed Judge. I won my first CC under him and was later awarded Best of Breed. Bony won back-to-back BOB'S and was placed 5th BIS by Mr. Rangarajan. It was a pump start to my Show career and I got hooked to it. Bony finished her Championship in style in straight shows and was now Ch Sweet Melody of Singh... my first champion.

Alongside Bony I and my friend Vikas Rishi had already purchased a male named "BOSKO". He was an extremely wonderful specimen.... sound, well angulated with type. Unfortunately due to a rear leg injury Bosko could not debut alongside Bony. Bosko and Bony were shown together next show season and Bosko rattled the Great Dane arena with lots of BOB wins along with Bony. Bosko was now Ch Victor. We won lots with both these dogs and our presence was being felt. Highlight of Bosko's career was when he won BOB at the KCI 2ND NATIONAL ALL BREED DOG SHOW at the age of 7 years.

In 1990 I Bred Ch Sweet Melody of Singh to a handsome dog owned by Mr. G P Singh Brar called Ch Crystal. This was a Fawn x Brindle breeding. Unfortunately Bony Aborted on the 52nd day and we lost the litter of 13 puppies.

I bred Bony to Bosko in March 1991and on the 3rd of May-91 I produced my first Great Dane litter which also produced my first homebred champions. I produced 4 champions from this litter Ch Cindrella owned by Mr G P Singh Brar from Patiala, Ch Natasha owned by Mr. Jagdish Kapoor from Meerut, Ch Adrain owned by Mrs Indira Sharma from Bullandshahar and Ch Aristotel owned by Mr. Bali from Jaipur.

My thirst to own better Great Danes was ever growing and I was in love with the American Danes. In 1990 I had purchased a few second hand issues of the Dog World and wrote to the Great Dane Breeders who had advertised their Kennels in those issues. One fine day I received a reply letter from the then famous "DAGON" Great Danes owned by Mrs. & Mr. Trudy and Mike Muller from Lake Forest, Illinois. After a few exchange of letters consisting Introduction and exchange of pictures Mrs. Trudy Muller offered me a Puppy from a Fawn litter which was due out of the famous Ch Dagon's In a Flash. Everything from the price, shipment etc was sorted out. Fortune was not in my favour as my Father was tested for Cancer and I decided against importing as my Father's illness was of utmost importance now. On 23rd Sep-93 after a brave battle with Cancer my beloved father left me. Being the eldest in the family I had to take over my fathers business and Great Danes became secondary.... though I would always Dream about them.

In 1996 Bony expired and I purchased a Brindle bitch from the same kennel. I named her "BRANDY". Brandy was a big bitch and she also finished easily and was now Ch Vellin Kerry of Singh. I was regular to dog shows, however was not showing many Danes apart from Brandy. I was also beginning to do well in business and was well established. In 1998 I decided to pursue my love for Great Danes and my search to import Top Class Great Danes began.

In early 2001 after a lot of search, study of bloodlines, conversations and considerations I Imported my First Great Dane from the Famous PAQUESTONE Kennel owned by Raymond Ray Goldstone. Ray has been my Mentor since then and I have learnt the most from him and he is and will always be special to me.

BIS CH PAQUESTONE'S QUINTON QUEST aka "QUINN" became a revolution for Great Danes in India. He won back-to-back Best puppy in shows as an 8-month-old puppy in his first weekend under renowned breeder judge Mrs. Rosemary Hubrich. He became the Reserve puppy of the year All Breeds in 2001-2002. Quinn went on to be a great winner with numerous Board placing and many BEST IN SHOW wins. He was the # 1 Great Dane in India 3 years in a row and always featured in the top ten all breeds listing. He has since then produced numerous champions and BIS, BPIS winners. I will always owe my success with Quinn to Raymond Ray Goldstone. Special mention and my sincere regards and association with Georgia Hymmen of "DAYNAKIN" Great Danes and all my friends from the Daynakin Family.... thank you all guys.

There have been many highlights since then, including winning the First ever Great Dane National Specialty of the Great Dane Club of India with our American import Can & Ind Ch Ruathadaynakn Lycka V Paquin from the Very Famous DAYNAKIN GREAT DANES (Thank You GEORGIA & JACK, VICKY & RON SOPER for giving this beautiful girl), breeding champions, BPIS winners, Board placing and being the first to breed and win the Kennel Club of India's Reserve Puppy of the Year Trophy 2006-2007 with a Great Dane.
