Billy has been our super dog and before we write anything about him we sincerely thank Georgia Hymmen & Jack Henderson ( Daynakin Great Danes ) for considering this super boy for us.

In November 2006 Georgia & Jack bred a litter which produced Billy. I had asked Georgia for a show male and she was kind enough to choose and pick Billy for us. Billy the Green collar boy was a Hunk from puppy hood, therefore we decided to show him in USA & CAN. Billy started winning from debut and was awarded Best of Breed at a tender age of 6 months. He won his first Major at 7 months under Breeder Judge Mr. Don Carmody. He had earned enough points for his American title since then, however needed his second major win to complete it. With no Major shows ahead Georgia started showing him in Canada. He finished his Canadian Title in no time with Best of Breed over specials, Group 2, Best puppy in group at the Alberta Kennel Club shows 2007. His Canadian win also included a BEST IN SWEEPSTAKES at the Western Great Dane Club of BC specialty. We had now decided to ship Billy in October as Ray had to visit us. We got fortunate that the Gig Harbor Shows had made Majors for Great Danes and were scheduled for September. This was Billy's last opportunity to finish his title in America and with 3 days of showing in tough competition we were optimistic that he will do well. Our turmoil had just started as Billy lost in the puppy class to his own Brother 2 days to which he had never lost till date. We had only 1 day left and our dream to have owned and campaigned a Great Dane to its American Title looked shattered. Billy struck Gold for us the last day and won winner’s dog, Major to finish his Title in America at a tender age of 10 months under reputed Judge Mr. Frank Sabela and as usually beautifully handled by Georgia. Billy’s American wins included BEST IN SWEEPSTAKES at the Western Washington Great Dane Club Specialty.

Finally after a few hiccups in shipping Billy landed in India, November 2007. We had a Dream debut with him in India winning BEST IN SHOW & RESERVE BEST IN SHOW the same day under Reputed Judges Mr. Rajendra M Salvi and Mr. P S Chatterjee on 30^th December 2007. With just a few shows left for the 2007-2008 season he won consistently as a teenager. Next year for the show season 2008-2009 we decided to campaign him for the Bhat Kennel Trophy of The Kennel Club of India for the Dane of the year. We are proud that we successfully campaigned Billy for the Dane of the year title 2008-2009 in very tough competition and I must say that all the intensity, excitement and the long drives alone from Noida – Kolkata, 1,500 kms one side and 2,200 kms up and down from Noida – Baroda to make sure that Billy wins the Trophy will remain memories to be cherished. Highlights of Billy’s Dane of the year campaign were winning BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW under Breeder Judge Mr. Warren Simon ( USA ) at the 3^rd National Specialty, winning three of the four rings at the KCI NATIONAL, FCI SHOWS in Gurgaon, Dec 2008, 4 BEST IN SHOWS and having an almost 100 % winning record under overseas Judges. With the cancelation of any trophies including the Dane Trophy for 2009-2010 we decided to rest Billy for the 2009-2010 show season.

Billy started the 2010-2011 show season with a bang winning back to back BEST IN SHOWS at the Gurgaon Kennel Club shows held in Shimla under Judges Mr. M. Camma & Mr. P.S.Chatterjee. He ended up 2010-2011 as the #1 winning Great Dane and the #2 winning dog, All Breeds. He won 8 BEST IN SHOWS including a BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW win under Reputed Judge Mr. C.V.Sudarsan. Highlights of Billy’s 2010-2011 season are winning 8 Best in shows which included winning 5 Back to Back BIS wins , a BISS win, numerous RBIS’S & Group wins and starting the season with a BIS wins and ending with the same.Billy had an amazing 2010-2011 show season not only as a show dog, he proved his worth as a Stud with 4 of his get finishing their titles and a few close to finishing their titles. We look forward to showing him again…………..

We had a Dream Show season for 2011-2012. Billy not only ended the season as the # 1 Great Dane but also among the Top Winning dogs , All Breed in India with 12 BEST IN SHOW wins and 3 Reserve BEST IN SHOWS . Billy started the show season winning Back To Back BIS wins at the Ludhiana Kennel Club shows in November. Highlight of Billy's 2011-2012 show season are winning 9 Back to Back BEST IN SHOW'S, winning BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW under Judge: Mr Rajiv Shandilya at the Great Dane Club of India's , North Specialty. The only 3 times he was not awarded BIS .....he ended up winning Reserve Best in Show. We missed a few shows........Rohilkhand Kennel Club ( Bareilly ), Kanpur Kennel Club, Oudh Kennel Club ( Lucknow ), Doon Valley Kennel Club ( Dehradun ) & Jaipur Kennel Club due to business commitments......we are sure Billy would have had a better record if present. We look forward to show him again selectively.
